あたしの婚約者の名前はネーサン。　初めて（はじめて）会ったの時、あたしは十七歳、ネーサンは二十五歳。　あの時、２００３の五月、　あたしはまだ彼し（かれし）がいる。　２００３の夏、彼しが別れた（わかれた）、そしてあたしは十八歳になった。　新しい彼しがほしくないだった。　でも、２００３の十一月、あたしはネーサンに　”大好きだ”　と言った。　ネーサンはあたしも大好きだった；　うれしかった、あたしは。　２００３の十二月、あたしはNew Orleansに行った、ネーサンと会ったのために。　ネーサンとあたし、インターネットに会った、それで本人自ら会わなかったんだ。　あたしはちょっと心配（しんぱい）だった。　でも、ネーサンを初めて見たの時、一目ぼれ（ひとめぼれ）みたいだった。　ネーサンの茶色い（ちゃいろい）目はあたしの心（こころ）を盗んだ（ぬすんだ）。まほうみたいだったね　＾＾；　そして今、五年後、あたしたちは婚約した、とても幸せ（しあわせ）だよ　＾＿＾

置鮎 龍太郎（おきあゆ・りょうたろう）

置鮎 龍太郎はあたしの好きな音楽家（おんがくか）。　いろいろな歌を歌った。　置鮎さんはとてもかっこいし、歌うがじょうずだし、声（こえ）が大好きだし、大好きなキャラクターの声優しだから大好きよ　＾＿＾　これはひとつの置鮎さんの歌、鼓動（こどう）~whenever~。　ビデオは置鮎さんのブリーチのキャラクター、朽木 白哉（くしき・びゃくや）、でも歌はD.N.Angelのダークの歌。　これはビデオゲームをするの置鮎さん。　ゲームはブリーチの、でもあたしはゲームの日本語の名前を知らない。　ごめんね！　ゲームの英語の名前はBleach: Shattered Bladeと思。　このビデオに、声優の伊藤 健太郎（いとう・けんたろう）、遊佐 浩二（ゆさ・こうじ）、森田 成一（もりた・まさかず）もいる。　ビデオをお楽しみに！

関西弁

あたしは関西弁（かんさいべん）が好きだ。 特に、大阪弁が大好きだ。　面白そうだと思。 いい音（おと）がある。　いつか、関西弁を習（なら）いたい。　ひとつの好きなcharacter、SDKの 紅虎（べにとら）、は関西弁を話す。　虎くんは多聞（たぶん）大阪弁（おおさかべん）を話す。　歴史上（れきしじょう）の紅虎、徳川 秀忠、は子供（こども）の時だと、大阪に住んでいた。　いまのあたしはすこし関西弁を分（わ）かるけどよく話せれば、知（し）らない。

真田 幸村

真田 幸村は歴史上（れきしじょう）の人、そしてSamurai Deeper Kyoのキャラクターだ。 戦国無双（せんごく・むそう）のキャラクターも。　あの。。。アメリカのSamurai Warriors。　ビデオゲームだ。　とても楽しいだよ。　幸村の正しい（ただしい）名前は真田信繁（さなだ・のぶしげ）、でも彼（かれ）も真田 左衛門佐 幸村（さなだ・さえもんのすけ・ゆきむら）と言う。　真田 昌幸（さなだ・まさゆき）の二番目の息子だった。　幸村お兄さんは真田信之（さなだ・のぶゆき）だった。信濃国（しなののくに）,の上田城（うえだじょう）に 住んでいました。

用心棒（ようじんぼう）

用心棒は古い時代劇（じだいげき）の映画（えいが）。　監督（かんとく）は黒澤 明（くろさわ・あきら）。　三船 敏郎（みふね・としろう）はタイトルキャラクター、用心棒。　名前がない。　用心棒は”名前が桑畑 三十郎（くわばたけ・さんじゅろう）”と言った、でも本当の名前じゃない。　三十郎は浪人（ろうにん）。　剣術（けんじゅつ）が上手だよ。　実際（じっさい）は、三船さんが剣術が上手だった。　あたしは三船さんが一番剣術が上手だったと思う、俳優（はいゆう）の中で。

用心棒 – Bodyguard, usually transliterated as “Yojimbo”. the kanji literally translates to Business(you) Heart/Spirit/Mind(shin) Stick/Club(bou)
時代劇 – period film, what we’d call “Samurai flicks”. generally set in the Edo era, but can be set even earlier.
監督 – Director of a movie.
桑畑 三十郎 – literally means “Thirty-year-old Mulberry Field.” in the film’s sequel, Sanjuro, the surname changes to Tsubaki, which means Camellia. he names himself after whatever happens to be around, it seems.

徳川 秀忠

徳川 秀忠（とくがわ・ひでただ）は歴史上（れきしじょう）の人、そしてSamurai Deeper Kyoの登場人物（とうじょうじんぶつ）。　歴史（れきし）に、秀忠は徳川 家康（とくがわ・いえやす）の三番目（さんばんめ）の息子（むすこ）だった。　子供時代（こどもじだい）の名前（なまえ）がながまるだった。　1592に、豊臣 秀吉（とよとみ・ひでよし）から、烏帽子名（えぼしな）を受け取った（うけとった）。　十一歳から十四歳まで(1590-1593)、秀忠は秀吉いっしょに住んでいた。　秀吉は秀忠の元服（げんぷく）の議事長（ぎじちょう）を勤めた（つとめた）。　秀忠は1605から1623まで将軍（しょうぐん）として支配（しはい）した。　1623に退位（たいい）した、そして1632に死んだ（しんだ）。

SDKの秀忠はとても面白い人だ。　関西弁（かんさいべん）をはなす。　あたしはその弁（べん）が大好きだ　＾＾；　SDKに、”紅虎”と言った。　あだ名（あだな）が”虎くん”だ。　虎くんの武器（ぶき）は槍（やり）。　ふたつがある。　一番の槍の名は”虎翼”（こよく）、でも新しい（あたらしい）槍を得る（える）。　第二（だいに）の槍の名は”北落師門”（ほくらくしもん）だ。　鬼眼の”天狼”同じ（おなじ）、村雅の創造物（そうぞうぶつ）。　とても素晴らしい槍だよ。

豊臣 秀吉　- Toyotomi Hideyoshi. a former vassal of Oda Nobunaga and ally of Tokugawa Ieyasu.
烏帽子名 – adult name. Samurai, and later most if not all Japanese boys, were given one name at birth, and then another, different one when they came of age at 15. The latter usually involved one character from his father or the lord who presided over his coming of age ceremony.

将軍　- Shougun. invariably spelled “Shogun,” this post was where the real power in the government lay during the Edo era of Japan. the word means something along the lines of “Army Commander” (Shou means “Commander”, “General”, “Admiral”, etc. Gun means “Army”, “Troops”, “Military”…you get the idea.) Nowadays the title holds a connotation similar to “generalissimo.” It’s actually short for “sei-i taishougun”(征夷大将軍), which means “great general who subdues the eastern barbarians.”

退位する – to abdicate or resign one’s rank. literally means “Retreat [from] Rank”
紅虎 – Red Tiger. an alias he picked up sometime ebfore the story, and how he’s actually introduced into the story.
関西弁 – Kansai-ben. actually a group of dialects(accents) in the Kansai region, mostly centered around Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe. I don’t know which one he actually speaks, but I know it’s Kansai. It’s probably Osaka-ben, as that’s the most well-known.
虎翼 – literally “Tiger Wings”.
北落師門 – means something approaching “Northern Fallen Army Gate” or “Northern Fallen Expert Gate” Hoku-North. Raku-to fall. Shi-teacher/expert, or Army. Mon-Gate.

Samurai Deeper Kyoは歴史上（れきしじょう）の登場人物（とうじょうじんぶつ）がいる。　徳川 秀忠（とくがわ・ひでただ）、徳川 家康（とくがわ・いえやす）/服部 半蔵（はっとり・はんぞう）、真田 幸村（さなだ・ゆきむら）、出雲の阿国（いずものおくに）、織田 信長（おだ・のぶなが）、真田十勇士（さなだじゅうゆうし）、伊達 政宗（だて・まさむね）、巴 御前（ともえ・ごぜん）、風魔 小太郎（ふま・こたろう）がいる。　十九人。。。すごいだね。。。？　あたしの大好きな登場人物は。。。秀忠くん、幸村くん、半蔵さん、十勇士の猿飛 佐助（さるとび・さすけ）、十勇士の霧隠 才蔵（きりがくれ・さいぞう）だ。　荒筋（あらすじ）は四年後に関ヶ原の戦い（せきがはらのたたかい）がある。　でも荒筋はあまり歴史上じゃない。　それでも、あたしはSDKが大好きだよ。　次（つぎ）のポストは秀忠くん、雪村くん、佐助くん、才蔵くんについて　＾＾；

歴史上（の） – historical
徳川 秀忠 – Tokugawa Hidetada, son of Tokugawa Ieyasu, second Shogun in the Tokugawa line.
徳川 家康 – Tokugawa Ieyasu. Hidetada’s father, and the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate that lasted until the mid/late 1800s.
服部 半蔵 – Hattori Hanzou, a loyal follower of Ieyasu’s. Usually described as a ninja, he was the leader of the Iga clan.
真田 幸村 – Sanada Yukimura. The one man, according to legend, that Ieyasu was ever really afraid of. He led the Sanada clan and died at the battle of Osaka.
出雲の阿国 – Izumo no Okuni, a priestess who, according to legend, founded Kabuki theater.
織田 信長 – Oda Nobunaga. a man of mixed legend, famous and infamous. he was known as the Demon King, and ended up betrayed by one of his own retainers and forced to commit ritual suicide in a temple called Honnouji in Kyoto. Ieyasu used to work for him.
真田十勇士 – The Sanada Juuyuushi, or Sanada Ten Braves, often shortened to just Sanada Ten. A group of ten ninja that were supposed to have followed Yukimura’s orders, being loyal to him unto death.
伊達 政宗 – Date Masamune, a daimyo[lord] that has quite a reputation of his own. Due to losing an eye in his childhood he was often called the One-eyed Dragon.
巴 御前 – Tomoe Gozen. A legendary female samurai from days far before even the Sengoku Jidai era of the 1500s. she is featured in the Heike Mongatari[Tale of the Heike].
風魔 小太郎 – Fuma Kotarou, a ninja on par with Hattori Hanzou, leader of the Fuma clan.
猿飛 佐助 – Sarutobi Sasuke, one of the most famous of the Sanada Ten. his family name literally translates to “Monkey Jump”　(saru means monkey. tobi is a form of tobu, which means to move or travel through the air; in this case, to jump.)
霧隠 才蔵 – Kirigakure Saizou, another of the Sanada Ten, second only to Sasuke in fame and notoriety. his family name translates to “Mist-hidden,” roughly (kiri means mist. gakure, or kakure, is a form of kakuru, which means to hide).
荒筋 – plot of a story
関ヶ原の戦い – The Battle of Sekigahara, which happened in 1600, is held by most to be the unofficial beginning of the Tokugawa Shogunate. Tokugawa Ieyasu and his Eastern Army defeated Ishida Mitsunari, the leader of the Western Army, and unified Japan. It was one of the final battles he fought to unify the country and become Shogun, and heralds the end of the Sengoku Jidai era. the last one would be at Osaka, which ended with the death of Sanada Yukimura.
